T-Shirt Design
The T-Shirt design was created in InDesign and then printed out. A negative of the design was then created, followed by a positive. A screen was then prepared by putting a sheet of emulsion on top of it and letting it dry onto it overnight. The positive film was then placed onto the dried emulsion and shot for 9 minutes, which hardened the emulsion to the screen except for where the design was. The screen was then
rinsed off to completely remove the emulsion from the areas of the design. The screen was then dried and masked off. The T-Shirts were then placed onto the printing station, and the screen was then positioned properly to the shirt. Oil-based ink were used on the shirts, so after the screen was flooded with ink and then pushed through the screen onto the shirt, a heat lamp was used to cure the ink.
